CHD1L Antibody (PA5-115011) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of CHD1L in human colorectal cancer. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. Samples were incubated with CHD1L polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-115011) using a dilution of 1:100 (4°C overnight) followed by HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit secondary antibody.

In response to DNA strand breaks, chromatin adopts a relaxed structure due to the addition of poly(ADP-ribose) (PAR) to chromatin proteins by PARP enzymes (see PARP1; MIM 173870), and this relaxation facilitates the repair of DNA damage. CHD1L interacts with PAR and has a role in chromatin relaxation following DNA damage (Ahel et al., 2009 [PubMed 19661379]).
