Draxin Antibody (PA5-143683) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of Draxin in rat PC12 cells differentiated with NGF. The cells were probed with Draxin polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-143683), then the antibody was detected using appropriate secondary antibody conjugated to Cy3. The antibody was used in the absence (left) or presence (right) of blocking peptide. Lower images show corresponding phase images.

The antibody detects a significant 50 kDa* protein corresponding to the molecular mass of draxin on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of rat PC12 cells, rat P1 brain, and chick E9 brain. The antibody also shows low expression of draxin in adult mouse brain.

Chemorepulsive axon guidance protein required for the development of spinal cord and forebrain commissures. Acts as a chemorepulsive guidance protein for commissural axons during development. Able to inhibit or repel neurite outgrowth from dorsal spinal cord. Inhibits the stabilization of cytosolic beta-catenin (CTNNB1) via its interaction with LRP6, thereby acting as an antagonist of Wnt signaling pathway.
