Specificity: Clone BB7.6 recognizes an epitope shared by the human MHC class I molecule HLA-B.
Endotoxin Level: <1.0 EU/mg as determined by the LAL method.
Purity: ≥95% monomer by analytical SEC and >95% by SDS Page.
Preparation: Functional grade preclinical antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using in vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.
Storage: Functional grade preclinical antibodies may be stored sterile as received at 2-8C for up to one month. For longer term storage, aseptically aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at -80C. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
HLA-A2 and HLA-B7 are human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class I proteins that are involved in the presentation of antigens to T cells. They are composed of a heavy chain and a light chain, which are both anchored to the cell membrane. The heavy chain consists of three domains: alpha-1, alpha-2, and alpha-3. The alpha-1 and alpha-2 domains form a peptide-binding groove that can accommodate peptides of different lengths and sequences. The light chain, also known as beta-2 microglobulin, is non-covalently associated with the heavy chain and stabilizes its structure. HLA-A2 and HLA-B7 proteins are located on the surface of most nucleated cells in the body and present peptides derived from intracellular proteins to CD8+ T cells. This process is essential for the recognition and elimination of infected or cancerous cells by the immune system. HLA-A2 and HLA-B7 proteins are highly polymorphic, meaning that they can vary in their amino acid sequences between individuals. This diversity allows the immune system to recognize a wide range of antigens and mount an effective immune response.
HLA and MHC antibodies play a significant role in Immunopeptidomics, facilitating the identification and characterization of neoantigens through high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to tandem Mass Spectrometry.
