MAF1 Antibody (PA5-23712) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of MAF1 in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human lung carcinoma. Samples were incubated with MAF1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-23712) followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

This antibody is predicted to react with bovine and rat based on sequence homology.

This gene encodes a protein that is similar to Maf1, a Saccharomyces cerevisiae protein highly conserved in eukaryotic cells. Yeast Maf1 is a negative effector of RNA polymerase III (Pol III). It responds to changes in the cellular environment and represses pol III transcription. Biochemical studies identified the initiation factor TFIIIB as a target for Maf1-dependent repression.
