Immunocytochemical staining of MALT1 in HepG2 cells using MALT1 Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-57057) at a 1:1,1000 dilution. Nuclei were stained blue with DAPI; MALT1 was stained magenta with Alexa Fluor® 647. Images were taken using Leica stellaris 5. Protein abundance based on laser Intensity and smart gain: Medium. MALT1/Paracaspase (MALT1) was independently identified as a member of the human paracaspase family and an interacting partner of B-cell lymphoma (Uren et al., 2000). MALT1 is a caspase-like protein that contains an N-terminal death domain, two Ig-like domains, and a C-terminal caspase-like domain. It binds to Bcl10 through its Ig-like domains and cooperates with Bcl10 to activate NF-kappaB.
