MVK Antibody (PA5-119727) in WB
Western blot analysis of MVK on different lysates. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% BSA in PBS for 1 hour at room temperature. MVK Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-119727) at 1:500 was used in 5% BSA at room temperature for 2 hours. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1:5,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature. Positive control: Lane 1: U937 cell lysate. Lane 2: SKBR-3 cell lysate.

Mevalonate kinase (MVK) is an early enzyme in isoprenoid and sterol synthesis. Mevalonate kinase catalyzes the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of mevalonic acid to form mevalonate 5-phosphate. Deficiency in MVK activity contributes to mevalonic aciduria and hyperimmunoglobulinemia D/periodic fever syndrome (HIDS).
