NLN Antibody (PA5-48037) in WB
Western blot analysis of NLN in SH‚SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell line, bEnd.3 mouse endothelioma cell line, rat cortical neuron tissue, and human brain (cortex) tissue. Samples were incubated in NLN polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-48037) using a dilution of 1 µg/mL followed by a HRP-conjugated Anti-Sheep IgG secondary antibody. A specific band was detected for Neurolysin at approximately 80 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.

This antibody detects human, mouse, and rat Neurolysin Neurolysin in Western blots and human Neurolysin in direct ELISAs. In direct ELISAs, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) Meprin alpha, rhMeprin beta subunit, and rhTHOP1 is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

This gene encodes a member of the metallopeptidase M3 protein family that cleaves neurotensin at the Pro10-Tyr11 bond, leading to the formation of neurotensin(1-10) and neurotensin(11-13). The encoded protein is likely involved in the termination of the neurotensinergic signal in the central nervous system and in the gastrointestinal tract.
