P2X7 Antibody (MA5-28184) in WB

Western Blot was performed using Anti-P2X7 Monoclonal Antibody (Hano43) (Product # MA5-28184) and a 49 kDa and 75 kDa band corresponding to P2X purinoceptor 7 was observed across rat tissues. Tissue extracts (60 µg lysate) of Rat Skeletal Muscle (Lane 1), Rat Kidney (Lane 2), Rat Lung (Lane 3), Rat Heart (Lane 4), Rat Prostate (Lane 5) were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 4-12% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # NP0321BOX). The blot was probed with the primary antibody (1:1,000) and detected by chemiluminescence with F(ab2-Rabbit anti-Rat IgG (H+L Secondary Antibody, HRP (Product # PA1-29927, 1:20,000) using the iBright FL 1000 (Product # A32752). Chemiluminescent detection was performed using SuperSignal™ West Pico PLUS Chemiluminescent Substrate (Product # 34580). The Rat IgG bands were observed approximately at 25 kDa in rat heart and rat prostate.

Rat anti Mouse P2X7 antibody, clone Hano43 recognizes the P2X purinoceptor 7, also known as P2X7. The P2X7 ATP receptor has a distinctive long C-terminal tail with multiple potential protein and lipid interaction motifs and is highly polymorphic.

靶标信息

The product of this gene belongs to the family of purinoceptors for ATP. This receptor functions as a ligand-gated ion channel and is responsible for ATP-dependent lysis of macrophages through the formation of membrane pores permeable to large molecules. Activation of this nuclear receptor by ATP in the cytoplasm may be a mechanism by which cellular activity can be coupled to changes in gene expression. Multiple alternatively spliced variants have been identified, most of which fit nonsense-mediated decay criteria.
