PHRF1 Antibody (PA5-64080) in WB
Western blot analysis of PHRF1 was performed by loading HEK293T (lane 1), untreated (lane 2), non-targeted sgRNA (lane 3) and PHRF1 CRISPR KO (lane 4) cell lysates onto a polyacrylamide gel. Proteins were transferred to a membrane and blocked. Ponceau stained transfer of blot is shown to demonstrate similar loading. PHRF1 was detected using a PHRF1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-64080). Chemiluminescent detection was performed. Data courtesy of Dr. Kanishk Jain at UNC.

Plays important roles in controlling the metabolism of fatty acids at differents levels. Acts as a magnesium-dependent phosphatidate phosphatase enzyme which catalyzes the conversion of phosphatidic acid to diacylglycerol during triglyceride, phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine biosynthesis in the reticulum endoplasmic membrane. Acts also as a nuclear transcriptional coactivator for PPARGC1A to modulate lipid metabolism.
