PIK3CA Antibody (PA5-27192) in ICC/IF
PIK3CA Polyclonal Antibody detects PI3 kinase p110 alpha protein at cytoplasm by immunofluorescent analysis. Sample: HCT 116 cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: PI3 kinase p110 alpha protein stained by PIK3CA Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-27192) diluted at 1:500. Blue: Hoechst 33342 staining.

The PA5-27192 immunogen is recombinant protein fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 3 and 170 of Human PI3 kinase p110 alpha.

Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase is composed of an 85 kDa regulatory subunit and a 110 kDa catalytic subunit. The protein encoded by this gene represents the catalytic subunit, which uses ATP to phosphorylate PtdIns, PtdIns4P and PtdIns(4,5)P2. This gene has been found to be oncogenic and has been implicated in cervical cancers.
