PP1 beta Antibody (PA5-15535) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of U251 cells using a Protein Phosphatase 1 beta polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-15535). U251 cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.1%, 10 min), then incubated with a Protein Phosphatase 1 beta polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-15535) (1:25, 1 hr at 37°C). Primary antibody was detected with fluor-conjugated donkey anti-rabbit secondary antibody (green) at 1:400 dilution for 50 min at 37°C). Actin filaments have been labeled with dye-conjugated phalloidin (red).

The protein encoded by this gene is one of the three catalytic subunits of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1). PP1 is a serine/threonine specific protein phosphatase known to be involved in the regulation of a variety of cellular processes, such as cell division, glycogen metabolism, muscle contractility, protein synthesis, and HIV-1 viral transcription. Mouse studies suggest that PP1 functions as a suppressor of learning and memory. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
