Phospho-Arp2 (Thr237, Thr238) Antibody (PA5-143650) in WB
Western blot of Phospho-Arp2 (Thr237, Thr238) in rat PC12 cells differentiated with NGF. The cells were probed with Arp2 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-143649) and Phospho-Arp2 (Thr237, Thr238) polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-143650), then the antibodies were detected using appropriate secondary antibody conjugated to Cy3.

The antibody detects 44 and 32 kDa* proteins corresponding to the molecular mass of Arp2 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of human A431 and Jurkat cells treated with Calyculin A. This reactivity is not observed after lambda phosphatase treatment.

ARP2 (actin-related protein 2) is an ATP-binding component of the ARP2/3 complex - a multiprotein complex that mediates actin polymerization upon stimulation by the nucleation-promoting factor (NPF). The ARP2/3 complex mediates the formation of branched actin networks in the cytoplasm and provides the force for cell motility. The ARP2/3 complex also promotes actin polymerization in the nucleus, thereby regulating gene transcription and repair of damaged DNA.
