PA1-22003 detects Phospho-GATA4 (pSer105) in Mouse samples. Expected to cross react with chicken, human and rat due to sequence homology (100% identity with immunogen).
PA1-22003 has been successfully used in Western Blot procedures, where a band of 46 kDa is predicted to be detected. Positive control: Phenylephrine-stimulated rat cardiomyocytes, transfected with mouse GATA4
PA1-22003 immunogen corresponds to Synthetic peptide (Human) derived from a region of GATA 4 that contains serine 105.
GATA4 is a member of the GATA family of zinc-finger transcription factors. Members of this family recognize the GATA motif which is present in the promoters of many genes. This protein is thought to regulate genes involved in embryogenesis and in myocardial differentiation and function. Mutations in the gene encoding GATA4 have been associated with cardiac septal defects.
