PA1-26570 detects RFC4 from human samples. PA1-26570 is expected to cross react with mouse due to sequence homology.
PA1-26570 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.
The PA1-26570 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to a portion of human Replication Factor C 437 kDa subunit encoded in part by exons 10 and 11.
Human Replication Factor C (RFC) is a hetero-pentameric protein consisting of the p140, p40, p38, p37 and p36 subunits. RFC functions in the loading of the DNA polymerase delta processivity factor (PCNA, Proliferating Cell nuclear Antigen) onto a primed DNA template during DNA synthesis and repair. RFC may also participate in the DNA damage checkpoint response with a PCNA-like hetero-trimer consisting of Hus 1, Rad 1 and Rad 9.
