RHPN1-AS1, also known as RHPN1 antisense RNA 1, is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) molecule. It is transcribed from the opposite strand of the RHPN1 gene, which encodes a protein called rhophilin 1. Long non-coding RNAs are RNA molecules that are longer than 200 nucleotides and do not code for proteins. They have been found to play important roles in various cellular processes, including gene regulation, chromatin remodeling, and cellular development. The specific function of RHPN1-AS1 is not yet fully understood, and further research is required to elucidate its role in cellular processes and its potential implications for human health and disease.
