SF3B2 Antibody (PA5-48739) in WB
Western blot analysis was performed on modified whole cell extracts (1% SDS) of HeLa (Lane 1), A549 (Lane 2), HEK-293 (Lane 3), MOLT-4 (Lane 4), PC-3 (Lane 5), A-431 (Lane 6) and HCT 116 (Lane 5). The blot was probed with SF3B2 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-48739, 1:1000 dilution) and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (Heavy Chain) Superclonal™ Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate (Product # A27036, 0.25 µg/ml, 1:4000 dilution). A 130 kDa band corresponding to SF3B2 was observed across the panel.

Subunit of the splicing factor SF3B required for 'A' complex assembly formed by the stable binding of U2 snRNP to the branchpoint sequence (BPS) in pre-mRNA. Sequence independent binding of SF3A/SF3B complex upstream of the branch site is essential, it may anchor U2 snRNP to the pre-mRNA. May also be involved in the assembly of the 'E' complex. Belongs also to the minor U12-dependent spliceosome, which is involved in the splicing of rare class of nuclear pre-mRNA intron.
