SN38 Antibody (MA5-50768) in WB
Western blot analysis of SN38 with Lane 1: SN38-BSA (50 ng/lane), Lane 2: BSA (negative) (50 ng/lane), Lane 3: 293T cell lysate (negative) (20 µg/lane). Samples were incubated with recombinant monoclonal SN38 (Product # MA5-50768) at a dilution of 1:1,000 (in 5% NFDM/TBST, 4°C overnight) on 4-20% SDS-PAGE gel. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST (1 hr, room temp), followed by Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG HRP at 1:50,000 (1 hr, room temp).

SN38 is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of topoisomerase I inhibitors. It is the active metabolite of irinotecan, a chemotherapeutic drug used in the treatment of various types of cancer, particularly colorectal cancer. SN38 exerts its anti-cancer effects by inhibiting the action of topoisomerase I, an enzyme involved in DNA replication and repair. By inhibiting this enzyme, SN38 prevents DNA from unwinding, leading to the accumulation of DNA damage and ultimately inducing cell death in cancer cells.
