Lyophilized antibody can be stored at -20°C for up to 3 years. Re-constituted antibody can be stored at 4°C for several days to weeks. Once reconstituted, make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.
Specific Species Reactivity: Arabidopsis thaliana
SOT12 encodes a soluble (cytosolic) small-molecule sulfotransferase in Arabidopsis thaliana, producing a single protein-coding transcript that is intronless and gives rise to an approximately 326-aa enzyme built around a conserved cytosolic sulfotransferase fold with the canonical PAPS-dependent sulfonate transfer machinery (including the conserved motifs required for binding 3-prime-phosphoadenosine 5-prime-phosphosulfate and catalysis). Functionally, SOT12 catalyzes sulfate conjugation of diverse hydroxylated metabolites, with demonstrated in vitro activity toward 24-epibrassinosteroid intermediates (notably 24-epicathasterone and related substrates) as well as salicylic acid and various phenolic/xenobiotic compounds; in planta genetic and expression evidence links SOT12 to stress- and defense-associated metabolism, where sulfonation can modulate the activity/availability of signaling molecules (e.g., salicylic acid) and contribute to pathogen resistance and chemical detoxification.
