Sorbitol Dehydrogenase Antibody (PA5-120389) in WB
Western blot analysis of Sorbitol Dehydrogenase in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with Sorbitol Dehydrogenase Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-120389) using a dilution of 1:500, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

Sorbitol dehydrogenase catalyzes the interconversion of polyols and their corresponding ketoses, and together with aldose reductase is the reduction of glucose to sorbitol by ALDR1 with NADPH as the cofactor. SORD then oxidizes the sorbitol to fructose using NADcofactor.
