Western Blot analysis of TARC using the TARC Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-116367) at a 1:2000 dilution. Lane 1: human spleen lysates, Lane 2: human skeletal muscle lysates, Lane 3: human lung lysates. Lysates/proteins at 20 µg per lane. Secondary Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, (H+L), Peroxidase conjugated at 1:10,000 dilution. Predicted band size : 11 kDa. Blocking/Dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST.

TARC ligand (CCL17) belongs to the CC chemokine family. It is a small cytokine and the gene is located on q arm of chromosome 16, in humans, along with other chemokines. TARC specifically binds to T-cells and interacts with chemokine receptors CCR4 and CCR8. It plays an important role in T cell development in thymus as well as in trafficking and activation of mature T cells.
