UBA5 Antibody (A304-114A) in IP
Detection of human UBA5 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP; 20% of IP loaded) from Jurkat cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-UBA5 antibody (Product # A304-114A) (lot 1) used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. UBA5 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-UBA5 antibody A304-115A. For blotting immunoprecipitated UBA5, A304-115A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the E1-like ubiquitin-activating enzyme family. This protein activates ubiquitin-fold modifier 1, a ubiquitin-like post-translational modifier protein, via the formation of a high-energy thioester bond. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. A pseudogene located on chromosome 1 has also been identified.
