PA1-29937 detects alpha Amylase from bacteria. PA1-29937 is expected to cross-react with a wide range of species due to sequence homology.
PA1-29937 has been successfully used in ELISA, immunoprecipitation, Western blot applications.
The PA1-29937 immunogen is: Alpha Amylase [Bacillus amyloliquefaciens]
Store at 4°C short term. For extended storage aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Amylases are secreted proteins that hydrolyze 1,4-alpha-glucoside bonds in oligosaccharides and polysaccharides, and thus catalyze the first step in digestion of dietary starch and glycogen. The human genome has a cluster of several amylase genes that are expressed at high levels in either salivary gland or pancreas. It is an amylase isoenzyme produced by the salivary gland.
