PA1-20930 detects Gamma Catenin in Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
PA1-20930 has been successfully used in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot procedures. Staining fo paraffin sections requires tissue boiling in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes. A positive control of breast carcinoma is suggested.

JUP is a major cytoplasmic protein which is the only known constituent common to sub membranous plaques of both desmosomes and intermediate junctions. This protein forms distinct complexes with cadherins and desmosomal cadherins and is a member of the catenin family since it contains a distinct repeating amino acid motif called the armadillo repeat.
