Western Blot of Mouse Anti-p73 antibody. Lane A: p-73 in transfected cell lysate. Primary antibody: p-73 antibody at 1 µg/mL for overnight at 4°C. Secondary antibody: IRDye800 mouse secondary antibody at 1:10,000 for 45 min at RT. Block: 5% BLOTTO overnight at 4°C. Predicted/Observed size: 80 kDa for p73. Other band(s): none.

P73 (TP73) participates in the apoptotic response to DNA damage. Isoforms containing the transactivation domain are pro-apoptotic, isoforms lacking the domain are anti-apoptotic and block the function of p53 and transactivating p73 isoforms. May be a tumor suppressor protein.
