Hot melt extrusion (HME) is an established technique for solubility and bioavailability enhancement in today’s drug development. Since its beginning the application advanced rapidly and offers today a variety of specialized approaches for formulation of tablets, films and implants. The aim of this seminar is to give an overview of state-of-the-art applications in HME for bioavailability enhancement and the different drug delivery methods produced with twin-screw extrusion. Experts from industry and academia give insight in their current research work and a hands-on training is provided to help you put the lessons learn into action.
