Optimizing performance of your Thermo Scientific Neoma (MS/MS) MC-ICP-MS System

Sunday, 12 July 2026 | 09:00 – 13:00
Presenter: Dr. Grant Craig

Join the MC-ICP-MS community for a unique opportunity to come together, learn, and collaborate. This half-day workshop is designed to exchange knowledge and help you optimize your system setup for Neoma MC-ICP-MS and Neoma MS/MS MC-ICP-MS analysis using Thermo Scientific Qtegra ISDS Software. Engage with Thermo Fisher Scientific experts to discuss your challenges and explore tailored solutions, including tuning workflows, analytical setup and data processing.

Second Annual International Orbitrap-IRMS Users Meeting

Saturday, 11 July and Sunday, 12 July 2026 | 08:30 – 17:00
A two day workshop co-sponsored by Thermo Fisher Scientific, led by Amy Hofmann (JPL/Caltech), Issaku Kohl (University of Utah), Shohei Hattori (Nanjing University) and Chunlei Wang (GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences)

This two-day workshop will consist of a brief introduction to Orbitrap-based mass spectrometry for isotope analysis, followed by oral presentations and posters interleaved with moderated discussion sessions. These sessions will focus primarily on scientific results but will also include topics like new analytical methods, interlaboratory comparisons, data processing, etc.

Session 06h: Technological innovations and methodological advances in isotope geochemistry and geochronology

Date: Friday, 17 July 2026 | 14:30 - 14:45 | Room: 520BE

Presenter: Dr. Grant Craig

Off-axis: Enhanced Dispersion Quad in the Thermo Scientific Neoma MC-ICP-MS for U-Pb, U-Th and Re-Os analysis using multi-ion counting.

Orbitrap Exploris Isotope Solutions

Intramolecular isotopic information is important as it can provide a better understanding of the processes of molecule formation and provide new geochemical proxies for understanding the world around us. The powerful new workflow harnesses Thermo Scientific Orbitrap high-resolution accurate mass (HRAM) sensitivity and precision to significantly broaden the applications of isotope ratio analysis.

Multicollector ICP-MS

Perform routine isotope analysis or explore novel isotopes in unknown materials using the Thermo Scientific Neoma multicollector ICP-MS (MC-ICP-MS). This ICP-MS system builds on our multicollector technology to deliver all the advantages of high-precision isotope ratio analysis, with none of the limitations. It includes state-of-the art software and hardware, features flexible and sensitive detector technology, a sensitive ion source and excellent mass resolving power, enabling challenging isotope analyses.

Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer

The Thermo Scientific DELTA Q Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer (IRMS) represents the next evolutionary leap forwards in isotope analysis, combining unprecedented performance with an easy-to-use innovative Thermo Scientific Qtegra Intelligent Scientific Data Solution (ISDS) Software. The DELTA Q IRMS is designed to be seamlessly connected with a wide range of Thermo Scientific peripherals, aimed at supporting varying investigations including food authenticity, criminal and environmental forensics, doping control, and scientific research.

Single Quadrupole ICP-MS

Transform your workflow and productivity capabilities for a wide range of elemental sample types in your analytical testing laboratory with the Thermo Scientific iCAP MSX ICP-MS. This instrument offers powerful detection capabilities along with matrix robustness, simplifying analysis, even for difficult samples. The ease of use of the iCAP MSX ICP-MS sets a new standard for inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.
