Installing SkanIt Software on Windows 11

SkanIt Software is compatible with Windows 11 Professional, Educational and Enterprise editions. Installation into ARM based computers is not supported.
The SkanIt Software installation package is downloaded from the website as a compressed .zip file. When this package is downloaded into a PC, the .zip file is stored in the computer’s “Downloads” folder.
SkanIt Software 8.0 Drug Discovery Edition Upgrade can be installed only on computer that has older version of SkanIt Software Drug Discovery Edition already installed.
Installation process
Note: The person who is doing the installation must have administrative rights on Windows 11 Operational system.
1. When SkanIt Software installation package had been downloaded it is stored in computer’s Downloads folder
Name of the downloaded software package is “SkanIt 8.0_RE.zip” for SkanIt Research Edition and “SkanIt 8.0_DDE_Uprage.zip” for SkanIt Drug Discovery Edition upgrade.
2. Select the compressed .zip file and click with mouse right button to open function list. From there select “Extract All”
3. Select the destination folder where compressed folders and files are extracted and click “Extract”
4. This will extract the compressed file into folders and files by restoring the original folder structure:
5. Start SkanIt Software installation by double-clicking the file “setup.exe” when installing SkanIt 8.0 Research Edition or by double-clicking the file “upgrade.exe” when upgrading to SkanIt 8.0 Drug Discovery Edition.
