Heracell i-Series CO2 Incubators

Protect valuable samples while optimizing cell growth. Thermo Scientific Heracell 150i and 240i CO2 Incubators provide an exceptional in vitro environment. They are stackable and come either with copper or stainless-steel chambers. Clean, reliable and easy to use, they feature fast recovery characteristics and a convenient touchscreen user interface. These incubators are also available as Class II Medical Devices for IVF (availability varies by region).

Precise monitoring of chamber conditions

 

The in-chamber fan gently distributes conditioned, humidified air throughout the chamber ensuring homogeneous conditions. This is monitored by a choice of either TC or IR in-situ CO2 sensor and dual temperature probes. 

Continuous protection against contamination

 

The ContraCon 90 °C moist heat decontamination cycle is proven effective in eliminating bacteria, molds, fungal spores and mycoplasma. It doesn’t require the removal of hardware or components. 

O2 control and gassing options

 

Optional O2 control ranges are available for hypoxic or hyperoxic culturing – 1-21% O2 or 5-90% O2. An optional integrated gas tank switcher for CO2 and O2/N2 allows the connection of two gas supplies – when the first supply is empty, the controller automatically switches to the second supply.

Rapid response humidity reservoir

 

The directly heated water reservoir designed to provide stable, high relative humidity, preventing culture desiccation. A pan-less system provides recovery rates up to 5X faster than traditional water pans, and a water-level sensor indicates when a refill is needed. 

Additional options to help prevent contamination 

100% pure copper interior

Choose naturally effective 100% pure copper interiors that enable maximum protection against contaminants potentially introduced through door openings or sample handling. Ideal for shared-use environments, copper facilities non-stop bactericidal and fungicidal properties on contact.

Gas-tight segmented doors

An optional three-door (Heracell 150i Incubator) or six door (Heracell 240i Incubator) inner glass door assembly is available to allow access to defined sections of the incubator without disturbing the entire inner atmosphere. This minimizes recovery times, gas usage and the risk of contamination.

Options include electropolished stainless steel or 100% pure copper chamber with either thermal conductivity (TC) or infrared (IR) sensors. All Heracell i-series CO2 Incubators can be stacked with units of the same size, and the door swing is adjustable from left to right.
