Product Specific Information
Recombinant human IL-7 is a non-glycosylated protein, containing 153 amino acids, with a molecular weight of 17.4 kDa. Purity is typically greater than 98% and endotoxin level less than 1 EU/ug.
The expected biological activity (ED50) is determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of mouse 2E8 cells and is typically less than 0.5 ng/mL. The specific activity of this protein is 2x10^6 units/mg.
Reconstitute using sterile water at 0.1 mg/mL and centrifuge prior to opening vial. Gently pipet solution down the sides of the vial. DO NOT VORTEX sample. Store reconstituted material at -20°C and add 0.1% BSA for additional stability.

Target Information
Interleukin 7 (IL-7) is a hematopoietic cytokine that is constitutively produced by stromal cells from the bone marrow and thymus. IL-7 signals through the IL-7R to promote the differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells to lymphoid precursor cells, which give rise to T cells, B cells, and natural killer cells.
