Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (58%), Rat (58%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-58847. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
The SPATA6L (Spermatogenesis Associated 6-Like) gene encodes for a protein involved in the regulation of spermatogenesis, specifically contributing to the formation of the sperm connecting piece, which is essential for linking the developing flagellum to the head during late spermiogenesis. Expression of SPATA6L is predominantly testis-specific. The gene's protein product plays a significant role in the structural integrity and motility of sperm cells. SPATA6L interacts with other proteins involved in sperm development and is essential for proper sperm morphology and function. Dysregulation or mutations in this gene can lead to defects in sperm structure and contribute to male infertility.
