This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-84734. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

TMEM240 is a small, highly conserved transmembrane protein expressed in brain. The TMEM240 gene maps to chromosome 1p36.33. This gene encodes a transmembrane-domain containing protein found in the brain and cerebellum. Mutations in this gene result in spinocerebellar ataxia 21.
