Immunofluorescence staining of 14-3-3 sigma in HeLa cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with 14-3-3 sigma Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-81018, 1:1,000) at 4°C overnight. This gene encodes a cell cycle checkpoint protein. The encoded protein binds to translation and initiation factors and functions as a regulator of mitotic translation. In response to DNA damage this protein plays a role in preventing DNA errors during mitosis.
