AGO1 Antibody (PA5-13497) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of AGO1 in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human brain tissue. Samples were incubated with AGO1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-13497) followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

AGO1 is a member of the Argonaute family of proteins which play a role in RNA interference. The protein is highly basic, and contains a PAZ domain and a PIWI domain. It may interact with dicer1 and play a role in short-interfering-RNA-mediated gene silencing. AGO1 binds to miRNAs or siRNAs and represses the translation of mRNAs.
