BCL7A Antibody in Immunocytochemistry (ICC/IF) — Immunofluorescent analysis of BCL7A in U2OS cells using a BCL7A polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-17933) at a concentration of 10 µg/mL. The sample was paraformaldehyde fixed and permeabilized with 0.15% Triton. Primary incubation for 1 hr was followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL), showing nuclear staining. Actin filaments were stained with phalloidin (red) and the nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Negative control: Unimmunized goat IgG (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL).

BCL7A Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western Blot staining of Human Lymphnode lysate using Product # PA5-17933 at a concentration of 1.0 µg/mL, the primary antibody incubation was 1 hour and the detection method was chemiluminescence.

BCL7A Antibody in Flow Cytometry (FLOW) — Flow cytometric analysis of BCL7A in Daudi cells using a BCL7A polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-17933) at a concentration of 10 µg/mL. The sample was paraformaldehyde fixed and, permeabilized with 0.5% Triton. Primary incubation was performed for 1 hr (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (1 µg/mL). IgG control: Unimmunized goat IgG (black line) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody.

This gene is directly involved, with Myc and IgH, in a three-way gene translocation in a Burkitt lymphoma cell line. As a result of the gene translocation, the N-terminal region of the gene product is disrupted, which is thought to be related to the pathogenesis of a subset of high-grade B cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The N-terminal segment involved in the translocation includes the region that shares a strong sequence similarity with those of BCL7B and BCL7C. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
