PA1-26456 detects BLK from mouse samples.
PA1-26456 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.
The PA1-26456 immunogen is a synthetic peptide, conjugated to KLH, corresponding to residues 25-42 of mouse BLK.
B-lymphoid tyrosine kinase (BLK) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that belongs to the Src family of kinases. BLK plays an important role in B-cell activation. Protein kinases are enzymes that transfer a phosphate group from a phosphate donor, generally the g phosphate of ATP, onto an acceptor amino acid in a substrate protein. By this basic mechanism, protein kinases mediate most of the signal transduction in eukaryotic cells, regulating cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement and cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation.
