Western blot analysis of BRD7 in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with BRD7 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-96105) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 60s.

Target Information
BRD7 acts both as coactivator and as corepressor. For example, it activates the Wnt signaling pathway in a DVL1-dependent manner by negatively regulating the GSK3B phosphotransferase activity. In addition, it is required for TP53-mediated cell-cycle arrest in response to oncogene activation. BRD7 promotes acetylation of TP53 at Lys-382, and thereby promotes efficient recruitment of TP53 to target promoters, inhibiting cell cycle progression from G1 to S phase.
