CALCOCO2 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot was performed using Anti-CALCOCO2 Monoclonal Antibody (P17410) (Product # MA5-18290) and a 55kDa band corresponding to CALCOCO2 was observed across the cell lines tested and tissues tested with uncharacterized bands (*). Whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of HeLa (Lane 1), HeLa (Lane 2), Mouse Testis (Lane 3), Mouse Heart (Lane 4) were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 12% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # NP0341BOX). Resolved proteins were then transferred onto a Nitrocellulose membrane (Product # IB23001) by iBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System (Product # IB21001). The blot was probed with the primary antibody (1:1000) and detected by chemiluminescence with Goat anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody, HRP (Product # A28177, 1:4000) using the iBright FL 1000 (Product # A32752). Chemiluminescent detection was performed using Novex® ECL Chemiluminescent Substrate Reagent Kit (Product # WP20005).

CALCOCO2 Antibody — Antibody specificity was demonstrated by detection of differential basal expression of the target across HeLa, Mouse Testis, Mouse Heart owing to their inherent genetic constitution. Relative expression of CALCOCO2 was observed in Mouse Testis in comparison with Mouse Heart using Anti-CALCOCO2 Monoclonal Antibody (P17410) (Product # MA5-18290) in Western Blot. {RE}

The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of nuclear domain 10 (ND10) bodies. ND10 bodies are nuclear domains appearing immunohistochemically as ten dots per nucleus. They are believed to be associated with the nuclear matrix on the basis of their resistance to nuclease digestion and salt extraction. ND10 proteins are removed from the nucleus by herpes simplex virus-1 infection and may have a role in viral life cycles.
