Specificity: Obinutuzumab (GA101) activity is directed against human CD20.
Endotoxin Level: <1.0 EU/mg as determined by the LAL method.
Purity: ≥95% monomer by analytical SEC and >95% by SDS Page.
Preparation: Functional grade preclinical antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using in vitro cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.
Pathogen Testing: To protect mouse colonies from infection by pathogens and to assure that experimental preclinical data is not affected by such pathogens, all of Leinco recombinant biosimilar antibodies are tested and guaranteed to be negative for all pathogens in the IDEXX IMPACT I Mouse Profile.
Storage: Functional grade biosimilar antibodies may be stored sterile as received at 2-8C for up to one month. For longer term storage, aseptically aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at -80C. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
Obinutuzumab is a humanized anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody, originated by GlycArt Biotechnology AG and developed by Roche as a cancer treatment. It was approved under the trade name Gazyva by the US FDA in 2013, and as Gazyvaro by the EMA in Europe, for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia in combination with chemotherapy in treatment-naive patients, and as a second line treatment for follicular lymphoma. Obinutuzumab is a fully humanized monoclonal antibody that binds to an epitope on CD20 that partially overlaps with the epitope recognized by rituximab. Obinutuzumab binds to CD20 on B cells and causes these cells to be destroyed by engaging the adaptive immune system, directly activating intracellular apoptosis pathways, and activating the complement system.
