CD99 Antibody (MA5-47656) in ELISA
ELISA capture of a Standard Curve using CD99 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-47656) in human recombinant CD99 extracellular region with His-tag. Capture was detected by using an anti-His-tag antibody followed by appropriate secondary antibody conjugated to HRP.

Clone M026 detects 30 and 32 kDa* bands corresponding to the molecular mass of the short and long forms of CD99 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of human A431, LNCaP, MDA-MB-231, A549, and MeWo cell lysates, as well as mouse LL2 lung carcinoma. The antibody can be used for multiple applications including ELISA capture, western blot, immunocytochemistry, and immunoprecipitation. In addition, the antibody labels live, unfixed MeWo cells.

CD99 (E2, MIC2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is involved in regulation of T cell addhesive properties and programmed cell death distinct from typical apoptosis course. CD99 roles are specific to certain stages of T cell differentiation such as corticothymocytes. CD99R isoform expression is restricted in the haematopoietic system to T, NK and myeloid cells.
