Detection of human CEP97 by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (50 µg) from Jurkat, HEK293T, U2OS, and RKO cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CEP97 antibody (Product # A301-946A lot 2) used for WB at 0.1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

CEP97 (centrosomal protein of 97 kDa) has been identified as part of a complex with CP110. Together, CP110 and CEP97 have been shown to play a role in the assembly of cilia. Loss of CEP97 or CEP110 promotes cilia formation while forced expression inhibits ciliogenesis.
