Western blot was performed using Anti-CXCR7 polyclonal Antibody(Product # PA5-28739) and ~50kDa band was observed corresponding to CXCR7 was observed across the cell lines tested. Whole cell extracts (30ug lysate) (1% SDS) of K-562 (Lane 1), Raji (Lane 2), HL-60 (Lane 3), PC-3 (Lane 4) and HeLa (Lane 5) were electrophoresed using Novex® NuPAGE® 4-12 % Bis-Tris gel (Product # NP0322BOX). This gene encodes a member of the G-protein coupled receptor family. Although this protein was earlier thought to be a receptor for vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), it is now considered to be an orphan receptor, in that its endogenous ligand has not been identified. The protein is also a coreceptor for human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV). Translocations involving this gene and HMGA2 on chromosome 12 have been observed in lipomas.
