Cathepsin S Antibody (MA5-29695) in WB
Western blot analysis of Cathepsin S in Lane A: U87MG Whole Cell Lysate (30 µg), Lane B: A549 Whole Cell Lysate (30 µg), Lane C: A431 Whole Cell Lysate (30 µg), Lane D: 293T Whole Cell Lysate (30 µg). Samples were probed using a Cathepsin S Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-29695) at a 1:500 dilution, followed by a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L), Dylight 800 at a 1:10000 dilution. Western blot was performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size:37 kDa. Observed band size:25 kDa.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The protein CTSS, a member of the peptidase C1 family, is a lysosomal cysteine proteinase that may participate in the degradation of antigenic proteins to peptides for presentation on MHC class II molecules. The protein can function as an elastase over a broad pH range in alveolar macrophages.
