The monoclonal antibody TLD-1C11 reacts with rat-complement regulator Crry and can be used to block autoimmune phenomena in rats.
This gene encodes a membrane-bound inhibitor of complement activation, which contains several tandemly arranged short consensus repeats (SCRs) of approximately 60 amino acids. The encoded protein may play a role in tumor immune surveillance, which is unrelated to complement inhibition. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
