Western Blot analysis of Mouse liver showing detection of 125 kda DIAPH2 protein. Lane 1: Molecular Weight Ladder (MW). Lane 2: Mouse Liver (10 µg). Load: 10 µg. Blocking: 5% Skim Milk powder in TBST. Samples were incubated with DIAPH2 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45919) at 1:1,000 for 2 hours at RT with shaking, followed by Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP at 1:4,000 for 1 hour at RT with shaking. Color Development: Chemiluminescent for HRP (Moss) for 5 min in RT. Predicted/Observed Size: 125 kda.

The product of this gene belongs to the diaphanous subfamily of the formin homology family of proteins. This gene may play a role in the development and normal function of the ovaries. Defects in this gene have been linked to premature ovarian failure 2. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
