Doppel Antibody (PA5-80944) in WB
Western blot analysis of Doppel in Lane A: Mouse spleen Tissue Lysate (30 µg). Samples were probed using a Doppel Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-80944) at a 1:500 dilution, followed by a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L), Dylight 800 Secondary Antibody at a 1:10000 dilution. Western blot was performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size:20 kDa. Observed band size:18 kDa.

This gene is found on chromosome 20, approximately 20 kbp downstream of the gene encoding cellular prion protein, to which it is biochemically and structurally similar. The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored glycoprotein that is found predominantly in testis. Mutations in this gene may lead to neurological disorders.
