ELAVL2 Antibody (MA5-47245) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of ELAVL2 in A431 cells. Cells were fixed in ice-cold MeOH for 5 min. Green: ELAVL2 stained by ELAVL2 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-47245) diluted at 1:500. Red: alpha Tubulin, a cytoskeleton marker, stained by alpha Tubulin antibody [GT114] diluted at 1:1,000. Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI.

The protein encoded by this gene is a neural-specific RNA-binding protein that is known to bind to several 3' UTRs, including its own and also that of FOS and ID. The encoded protein may recognize a GAAA motif in the RNA. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
