ESRRG Antibody (PA1-316) in WB
Western blot analysis of Estrogen-Related Receptor gamma was performed by loading 25 µg of MCF-7 (Lane 1), 293T (Lane 2), and Mouse kidney (Lane 3) cell lysates and a molecular weight protein ladder onto an SDS polyacrylamide gel. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with a blocking buffer at 4°C overnight. PA1-316 detects human and mouse ERR3 from transfected cells and shows no cross-reactivity to ERR1.
PA1-316 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~54 kDa protein representing ERR1 from COS-7 transfected cells. This antibody is not suitable for 293T cells in Western blot analysis.
PA1-316 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues D(401) Y E A G Q H M E D P R R(413) of human ERR3. This sequence is completely conserved between human, mouse and rat. This immunizing peptide (PEP-232) can be used for neutralization and control experiments.

Estrogen-related receptor gamma (ERRG, ERR3, NR3B3) is an orphan member of the nuclear hormone receptor superfamily. ERRG acts as a transcription activator in the absence of a bound ligand. It binds specifically to an estrogen response element and activates reporter genes controlled by estrogen response elements. ERRG also induces the expression of PERM1 in the skeletal muscle.
