FGFR4 Antibody (PA1-31991) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of FGFR4/CD334 in HeLa cells using a FGFR4/CD334 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA1-31991). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.2%, 30 min) and incubated with primary antibody ata dilution of 1:200 for 2 hrs at room temperature. Detection was performed using an Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit secondary antibody (green) at a dilution of 1:1000 for 1 hr. Nuclei were counterstained with Hoechst 33342 (blue) (10 µg/mL, 5 min).

PA1-31991 detects FGFR4 from human samples.
PA1-31991 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry (frozen tissue), immunohistochemistry (paraffin tissue), Western blot and ELISA applications. Detects a band of ~96 kDa. A suggested positive control for this product is THP-1 cell lysate.
The PA1-31991 immunogen is a synthetic peptide conjugated to KLH, corresponding to amino acids 39-56 of Human FGFR 4.
Store as concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), store at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20° C or below, avoiding multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

FGFR4 is a member of the FGFR family of receptor tyrosine kinases. This family is known to regulate a host of cellular functions including angiogenesis, mitogenesis, osteogenesis, myogenesis, carcinogenesis, cellular differentiation, and tissue repair after injury. The FGFR family has also been implicated in a number of diseases including cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and diabetic retinopathy. FGFR4 is required for normal down-regulation of the expression of CYP7A1, the rate-limiting enzyme in bile acid synthesis, in response to FGF19. FGFR4 plays a role in postnatal lung development and may be involved in the development of skeletal muscle cell lineages.
