Fyn Antibody (PA5-17499) in WB
Western blot was performed using Fyn Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-17499) and a 60 kDa band corresponding to Fyn was observed across cell lines and tissue extracts. Whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of MOLT-4 (Lane 1), Raji (Lane 2), Ramos (Lane 3), MCF7 (Lane 4), HEK-293 (Lane 5) and tissue extracts (30 µg lysate) of Mouse Brain (Lane 6) were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 10% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # NP0302BOX). FYN is a SRC-related kinase expressed in brain, skeletal muscle and adipose tissues. Fyn functions in a large number of pathways and has been shown to play a role in memory. FYN is a member of the protein-tyrosine kinase oncogene family. It encodes a membrane-associated tyrosine kinase that has been implicated in the control of cell growth. The protein associates with the p85 subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase and interacts with the fyn-binding protein. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms exist.
