Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Bat, Bovine, Elephant, Panda, Horse, Pig, Opossum (100%); Hamster (94%); Lizard, Pufferfish, Zebrafish (89%); Xenopus (83%).

For IHC(P), use heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs, or GPRs) contain 7 transmembrane domains and transduce extracellular signals through heterotrimeric G proteins. GPCR GPR61 is a member of this family (subfamily Orphan-A). It has been reported to be expressed in several regions of brain, including caudate, putamen, and thalamus.
